See AllEveryone says Linux is better than Windows, but I’m not buying it
Why linux? windows update: restarts when it wants to and then you wait. Need the computer for something right now? Tough
Linux: Use it daily. the only thing i do in terminal is type upd - that an alias for the entire set og update commands. There's a point/click way to do this but why bother? If the update includes a kernel update I get a message that say "Kernel updated. you might want to consider rebooting when it's convenient."
Aside from that daily use on linux, email, web, office suite, etc. are all the same apps I use on windows. My desktop shows what I click on, mo terminal needed.

Very nice high-priced approach. Some trendnet or netgear manged switches and opnsense running on a small N100 pc gets you the same (more or les) fir $$$ less. Save more and skip managed swiches.
