Young Artisan Project

The Trust provides professional training for young people of all abilities to acquire new skills, develop new ideas with opportunities to progress into further training, employment and volunteering.

The Young Artisan project includes students from Bournemouth & Poole Building Crafts College, Budmouth Academy and Atlantic Academy Portland. The programme delivered by the Trust involves acquiring new skills in stone carving, also working on new projects alongside artists and recent art graduates. A professional fine art painter with the Trust also delivers experimental drawing workshops.

The Trust, an Artsmark Partner, designs and delivers a yearly creative arts programme, giving young people wide access and engagement with the environment, different artists and materials, encouraging outstanding collaborative work supported by exhibitions and presentations at the Drill Hall Gallery.
