It works splenidly (as far as I have seen).

I have had no trouble at all booting to MS-DOS 6.0 or LINUX,
my DOS boot partition and LINUX coreside on a DISK, where
my DOS boot is a 'dblspaced' compressed fs. There was some
trouble in the initial stages, as I accidentally overwrote
DOS' boot sector with LILO. I almost lost all the data
on the partition. I did manage to get it back with
Norton tho. (The only problem really was that my ver. of
Norton doesn't recognize dblspaced partitions).

Little of that had to do with LILO though, mainly my misuse thereof.
If you install LILO correctly you should not have any trouble
booting your system with LILO. Which is to say I have had no
trouble booting my system with LILO/LINUX/DOS6.0(dblspace) and you
may or may not have ...
