Notice of the 24th International Symposium
The 24th Competition Policy Research Center International Symposium
With an advance of digitalization, new forms of cartels and bid-rigging are emerging, such as those that facilitate cartel members to engage in implicit coordination without gathering together, by using AI, algorithms, and others.
Meanwhile, methods for detecting cartels and bid-rigging are also rapidly progressing, through the study of screening bidding data, for example.
This symposium will have sessions of presentations and panel discussions on the latest research of cartels and bid rigging, by inviting prominent academia from Japan and abroad and will discuss how to fight cartels and bid rigging in a new era.
