Summary: The surging power demand of AI and cloud data centers is driving ever-higher requirements for both stable grid supply and renewable energy supply. Yet solar, wind and hydro are inherently intermittent, stochastic and uncontrollable, exposing computing workloads to the risk of failures due to unstable power supply. To solve this, the networks should enable realtime sensing, transmission and coordinated analytics between compute resources and the grid power supply, dynamically adjusting workload placement and renewable-energy dispatch. It is necessary to define the service models of network scheduling to effectively coordinate computing and power supply systems. This involves specifying the technical requirements and identifying scenarios where effective collaboration between computing and power grid supply can be achieved through network scheduling. The goal is to optimize the interaction between these systems, ensuring stable energy supply, avoiding energy waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. The service model of network scheduling for computing and power grid supply collaboration aims to optimize the integration and operation of computing resources and power supply through a coordinated scheduling framework. This model addresses the challenges posed by the variability of renewable energy sources, the dynamic nature of computing tasks, and the need for efficient resource utilization.
