Summary:
With the development of networks, there is a huge amount of emerging services, including services with totally new requirements or complex functionalities. ITU-R has released new Recommendation ITU-R M.[IMT.FRAMEWORK FOR 2030 AND BEYOND] in 2023, which contains six usage scenarios of IMT-2030. These scenarios are also in urgent demand in future networks. Massive applications will be introduced to support the above scenarios. In order to reduce resource consumption and facilitate cost-effective development, it should be considered to abstract common service capabilities for reuse.
In addition, the current open service environment (OSE) for NGN has its limitation, the OSE only support capabilities based on NGN providers' capabilities in ITU-T Y.2234.
It is necessary to consider use cases of open service environment for future networks.
