Joint Preliminary Call for Proposals on Scalable Video Coding Extensions of High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC)
A new generation of video compression technology known as High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) that has substantially higher compression capability than the existing AVC (ITU-T H.264 | ISO/IEC 14496-10) standard is being developed jointly by ISO/IEC MPEG and ITU-T WP3/16. This joint Call for Proposals is targeting at scalable extensions of that standard, and the text can be found here .
Companies and organizations are invited to submit proposals in response to this Call.
