Work on Rec. ITU-T H.784 (ex H.DS-DCI) "Digital signage: Display device control interface" was completed at this meeting. The Recommendation addresses the display device control interface between a display device and a digital signage client, including an overview of the display device control interface and a description of the functions and procedures for controlling and configuring the display device through the interface. - The revision of ITU-T Rec. H.782 (V2) "Digital Signage: Metadata" was also completed at this meeting. The revision of ITU-T Rec. H.782 (V2) "Digital Signage: Metadata" was also completed at this meeting. This revision updates the data types of elements and attributes of identifiers. The update aims to widen applicability of the specifications at the price of easy XML validation. [SG16-TD197/WP1]

Summary of Questions' Results
Question 13/16 summary
Question 13/16 met in eight sessions in Geneva, 22-26 October 2018, under the chairmanship of Mr Marcelo Moreno (UFJF, Brazil), assisted by Mr Chuanyang Miao (ZTE, China). The objectives were to progress on the active work items such as H.IPTV-SBM, H.IPTV-MDS, H.IPTV-EUIF.1, H.721, H.761 and HSTP.CONF-H764. Q13/16 progressed the work on three draft Recommendations: ITU-T H.IPTV-MDS, H.IPTV-EUIF.1, H.761(v4). The group started a new work item H.IPTV-TMRAPI "IPTV Terminal Middleware Remote API" and held a joint session with Q14/16. Q13/16 plans to hold a rapporteur meeting in the next SG16 meeting in March 2019 and one interim e-meeting. No texts were proposed for Consent at the WP1/16 meeting and no outgoing LSs were prepared. On e-meeting is planned on 27 February 2019, 1400 CET to progress its current work items, including H.IPTV-SBM, H.IPTV-MDS, H.721, H.761 and HSTP.CONF-H764.
Question 14/16 summary
Question 14/16 was chaired by the Rapporteur Mr Kazunori Tanikawa (NEC, Japan) with the assistance of the Associate rapporteur Mr Shin-Gak Kang (ETRI, Rep. of Korea) and had as objectives the completion of new ITU-T H.784 (ex H.DS-DCI) and revised ITU-T H.782 for Consent, and the preparation of the initial draft of revised ITU-T H.783. Reviewed three contributions on the three work items above and produced four output documents. The digital signage roadmap document was also updated. The two planned documents for Consent were completed: revised H.782 and new H.784 (ex H.DS-DCI). One new work item was also started as planned, for H.783 V2. No outgoing LSs were produced and no interim activities are planned before the next SG16 meeting in March 2019.
