• 2016-11:​ JCA-IPTV ceases to exist at the end of the study period 2013-2016.
• 2016-09: IPTV-GSI holds its last event.
• 2013-07: ​TSAG reconfirms the JCA-IPTV mandate reconfirmed for the 2013-2016 study period, under the responsibility of SG 16. ​​[TSAG-R1]
• 2012-07: TSAG endorses the SG13 decision in July 2013 [TSAG-R6, §14.5]
• 2012-06: The responsibility for JCA-IPTV and IPTV-GSI is transferred from ITU-T SG13 to ITU-T SG16 in June 2012.
• 2009-04: TSAG approves continuation the JCA-IPTV for the 2009–2012 study period.
• 2008-01: ITU-T FG IPTV completes its work and transmit deliverables to ITU-T SG13.
  
  To continue the work started by the FG IPTV, ITU-T SG13 decides on the establishment of a Global Standards Initiative on IPTV (IPTV-GSI) with the participation of various ITU-T study groups: SG2, SG9, SG11, SG12, SG13, SG16 and SG17. The GSI was modeled on the arrangements already in place for the NGN work.
  
  As part of the establishment of the IPTV-GSI, the membership of the IPTV-JCA is extended to include other SDOs involved with the IPTV work stemming from the results of the IPTV Focus Group. Also an IPTV-GSI Technical and Strategic Review process (IPTV-TSR ) was set up. The IPTV-TSR operates at every IPTV-GSI event (Study Group meetings, co-located Rapporteur meetings) and brings to the JCA-IPTV any issues requiring guidance or recommendations for action (e.g. on work allocation).
• 2006-07: TSAG selected ITU-T SG13 as that the parent of the ITU-T Focus Group on IPTV and that a Joint Coordination Activity (JCA-IPTV) should be established amongst the management of the concerned study groups to provide an interface to the IPTV Focus Group [TSAG-R12 ].
  
  The mandate of the IPTV-JCA was to support ITU-T SG13 in its role as parent of the focus group and to ensure that a proper relationship is established and maintained between the focus group and the concerned study groups, and that arrangements be put in place to ensure the smooth handover of the results of the focus group.
• 2006-04: Following the open consultation meeting with ITU-T members on IPTV service and its standardization in Geneva, 4-5 April 2006 (TSB CIrcular 71), it was agreed to establish an ITU-T Focus Group on IPTV (according to ITU-T A.7).
