There is growing acknowledgement in the Americas that ICT products and services should be developed in accordance with relevant international standards, regulations and other specifications, and that their compliance is tested. ITU has strived to spread expertise in conformance and interoperability (C&I) through training and partnerships. Its C&I programme comprises four pillars of support (conformity assessment; interoperability events; Assistance in the establishment of test centres and C&I programmes in developing countries).

The main objective of the training is to share knowledge regarding the ITU Conformance and Interoperability (C&I) Programme (and its 4 pillars) and to focus on the international issues related to the homologation procedures and type approval testing for mobile terminals, including practical exercises in appropriate labs.

The Training Course is open to professionals with the aim or interest to conduct practical testing activities on Conformance and Interoperability or is working in correlated fields.
