Summary

My name is Neil Thompson, and there are three sides to me, with all three sides STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) related. One side is technical; I worked as a product development engineer. Another side is people-driven, which suits me as a speaker and podcaster. I have a YouTube channel and podcast where I interview STEM professionals about their public speaking journeys. Check them out to get public speaking tips to make your technical presentations even better! The last side is near and dear to my heart: I want to get more Black children to consider careers in STEM. That's why I wrote my children's book, "Ask Uncle Neil: why is my hair curly?" The book is about my nephew asking me why his hair is the way it is, and I use science to answer the question.
