Dan Reed’s scorching 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, featuring the testimonies of two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who claimed Michael Jackson groomed and sexually abused them when they were young boys, attracted criticism and praise, sometimes in the same breath.
Critics acknowledged that the two-part film was one-sided. There were no dissenting voices, no pretence of objectivity.
