Neon White contains incredible level design, challenges, and gameplay mechanics, and it has a surprisingly engaging story with charming characters to boot. Some of the gifts are maybe a bit too well hidden, but there's only a little shame in turning to YouTube for the occasional help.

I was ready to accept the changes that this iteration of Carmageddon was gonna do, and the gameplay videos on YouTube looked sick. Actually playing the damn game makes me wanna pick up a Nintendo 64 and play that Carmageddon instead. Boat-like physics, uninspired courses, and a complete lack of charm awaits players. Someone else save the vehicular combat genre please.

6.5/10. The physics of these vehicles are oddly floaty and sluggish, but this is an otherwise fine Twisted Metal entry. The levels are all really cool.
