"The fish population in the lake has been declining, and there is a concurrent increase in the appearance of invasive species. The excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on the lands surrounding the lake is adversely affecting water quality, and is likely contributing to loss of biodiversity within the lake ecosystem."

"For adapting to changing climate, we haor dwellers received some supports from LGED to protect seedlings in high cold snaps. We raised our plot boundaries to protect from flooding. We, local farmers are now adaptive to climate change. We could save our crops and get satisfactory production to survive in disaster prone haor areas."
