While many devices can be updated without active scans, some entities, including the battery sensor, require active scans.
Discovery
The INKBIRD integration will automatically discover devices once the Bluetooth integration is enabled and functional.
Most devices require active scans to be discovered.
Configuration
To add the INKBIRD device to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:
If the above My button doesn’t work, you can also perform the following steps manually:

Browse to your Home Assistant instance.

Go to
Settings > Devices & services . -
In the bottom right corner, select the
Add Integration button. -
From the list, select INKBIRD.

Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
Troubleshooting
The IAM-T1 model only reports the temperature unit periodically and may display outdated temperature readings. If the values seem outdated, press the °C/°F button (located under the cover) twice to refresh the data.
