1925 Founded as the Hygena Cabinet Co.

1959 Acquired by Norcros. [1]

1982 Hygena ceased trading, the company's factory in Kirkby was closed with the loss of 640 jobs. [2]

The brand name was later acquired by the MFI Furniture Group.
