1981 Government ministers "encouraged the Electrak plan to set up operations in Consett. The company's plant would initially employ 300 workers eventually rising to 500.[1]
1982 James Capel, sold 50 per cent of the Electrak equity. It raised 5ドル million from institutions[2]
1983 Electrak have developed a unique electrical power distribution system that is cost and labour saving, neat and tidy, durable adaptable and safe to use[3]
1986 The new Electrak socket and plug electrical system, which aims to replace the conventional plug and socket, has been selected from more than 50 applicants to receive the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award at the 1986 Ideal Home Exhibition.[4]
1987 The Electrak system is childproof and provides a five-socket unit which can take all the equipment used in the kitchen[5]
1994 Electrak has teamed up with the North-East Innovation Centre to develop new production facilities for its insulated electric busbar product.[6]
