I started volunteering after trying for a long time to find answers and missing pieces of my family history. Because it meant so much to me when I finally found memorials for family I never knew, I wanted to help other people find some missing pieces too.
When locating memorials I always try and clean them, and the area around them, up a bit before photographing and posting to make sure they are as clear and legible as possible. I also make every attempt to minimize or eliminate reflections as much as I can.
All of my searching and photographing is done on my free time from work and my family. The more information I have (i.e. plot info or general areas even) help me fill more requests faster.
