I was born and reared in the Handley area (east side of Fort Worth) in Texas. I was in the last graduating class of Handley High School (1959)-- https://sites.google.com/site/handleyhigh, the third graduating class of Arlington State College (B.S. in Mathematics, 1963), Texas Christian University (M.S. in Mathematics, 1967), and the University of Northern Colorado (M.A. in Management, 1974).

I lived for about 35 years in Fredericksburg, VA where I was employed as a mathematician, computer scientist, and systems engineer until I retired in December 2004.
