Bio
EHC cemetery entries in FindAGrave files have been reconcilled with the records of the City Clerk. The EHC Historical Society has a spreadsheet of the original 8 blocks of the cemetery and digital copies of the Block/Section maps. We still get requests from families whose records indcated interment here, but no records can be found. There are also many headstones not recorded in the Clerk's records, which apparently are not complete between 1860 and 1900. When "The NEWS" of Egg Harbor City was sold, the copyright of previous issues was transferred to the Egg Harbor City Historical Society. In keeping with part of its mission, the use of these obituaries in Find A Grave is permissible.
Families: (Cavileers and Maxwells) in the Atlantic/Burlington County area since 1700s.
Married Patricia A. O'Brien (Longmeadow, MA). Two sons: Mark Jr., James: two grandchildren; Calvin Xavier. Parker Rosalind
In OCT2014, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. On 12OCT2015 I underwent an autologous stem-cell transplant in Jefferson Hospital (Phila) and ongoing Revlimid maintenance chemotherapy. In August 2020, during the midst of COVID-19 problems, I had a marrow biopsy and learned that there is no myeloma remains. A week later my blood work continued to drop. Then I got news that I have Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) aka pre-Leukemia. On Oct. 30, my doctors began discussions for a transplant in mid December, and a "halfway house" stay in Philadelphia for 90 days. I will continue the Monday and Thursday schedule of tests and transfusions until that time. I cannot guarrantee internet services, so my FindAGrave responses will probably go dark until April 2021.
Among my family trees are:
Paternal: ADAMS, CAVILEER, CRAMER, GALE, HEADLEY, LEEK, LOVELAND, MATHIS, MAXWELL, McANNEY, SOOY, VANSANT
Maternal: CURRY, KRIEG, TOWNSEND, SCULTHORPE
In-laws: CRUM, O'BRIEN, HASSON, PLUMMER
Anyone who wants to use my info/photos for personal/family use GO AHEAD. Any other use, just add a credit line below it.
Before you ask me to change an "unknown" birthdate to one that you calculated, know your degree of uncertainty. To change a year, the age on the headtone must include years AND months. Without both the uncertainty is +/- one year and will not be changed.
Please note: I do look at corrections sent to me, just not always the day you send it. See par. 4 above.
