Mother was Elizabeth Dunn. Parents were never married at his birth. His father married a year or so after his birth. His mother never married or had anymore children.
He was known as "Papa Price" by his grandchildren. Per his grandson (my father), Papa Price dropped out of school in the 3rd grade to work to care for his mother. He was the smartest man he knew; he could build anything and tell you how many squares of shingles were needed for a roof by just looking at it.
