Guidline for THE GREAT EAST JAPAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND FOR IWAKI CITY

1 Purpose

Iwaki City accepts donations to provide the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake with living assistance, and for the recovery and restoration of Iwaki city.

2 Fund Name

GREAT EAST JAPAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND FOR IWAKI CITY

(The fund changed its name. Former name was “TOHOKU REGION PACIFIC COASTAL EARTHQUAKE IWAKI CITY FUND”)

3 How your donation will be used

The donations will be used for the living assistance for the victims of the disaster and for the recovery and restoration of the city. The allocation of the living assistance will be determined by the Iwaki City Fund Distribution Committee.
(Separate bank accounts were set up for the two donation purposes as shown in section 5. Please select the bank account when you make a donation.)

4 Period of receiving donations

FROM Thursday, 17th of March 2011 UNTIL Sunday, 31st of March 2019

*The period has been extended. Thank you for your generous support.

5 Bank Accounts for donation (Dedicated Account)

(1) Accounts for funds for the recovery and restoration of the city

(2) Accounts for the donation for the living assistance of the victims of the disasters

*Remittance to any of the above bank accounts will be processed with no bank commission.

6 Tax Arrangements

Your donation could be reported to declare “contribution deduction” in accordance with the Income Tax Law (Article 78-2-1), the Local and Tax Law (Article 37-2-1-1,and Article 314-7-1-1) or regarded as a “deductible expense” in accordance with the Corporate Tax Law (Article 37-3-1).

*In order to receive tax exemption, you will be required to complete the regulated procedures such as attachment of the official receipt of the donation.

If you make a donation by bank transfers, the original receipt issued by the bank together with the photocopy of this website can be used as the evidence of your donation to declare the “contribution deduction” or the “deductible expense”.

If you make a donation by registered mail or by bank transfers, and require an official receipt, please inform us of your address, postal code, full name, telephone number, the bank account you make a donation to (Fukushima, Joyo, Daito, Toho, Mizuho bank, Himawari Shinkin bank, Iwaki Shinkumi bank), date of the bank transfer, the amount of remittance, etc.
