I tried the limited-edition Shamrock Shake at McDonald's
McDonald's has released its limited-edition shamrock Shake this week, with the sought-after item being available in restaurants across the UK.
The drink, which is released every March to celebrate St Patrick's Day, is popular with fans around the globe.
With so much hype surrounding the product, I figured now was as good a time as any to give it a "shake".
What is the Shamrock Shake?

How long will the Shamrock Shake be available in the UK?
The milkshake will be available in McDonald's restaurants for a limited time only. Those wanting to try the item will have until Tuesday, March 25 to get their fill.
I tried the Shamrock Shake from McDonald's and this is what I thought
When the milkshake arrived at my home, I was eager to rip open the McDonald's bag to give the popular item, which I had heard so much about, a swirl.
Admittedly, after taking my first sip, I thought the taste of the cold drink was rather weird and somewhat alien.
While that unmistakable milkshake base we've all come to know and love from the fast food chain was there, the ever-present peppermint syrup prevented it from feeling too familiar.

Finally, after getting used to the taste, I started to really like it thanks to the unique blend of the sweet and creamy milkshake and the bold minty flavouring of the syrup.
The only thing I could really compare the menu item to would be an Aero bar, which seamlessly mixes together peppermint and chocolate.
If you're on the lookout for something a little different at McDonald's this month, then I would definitely recommend this tasty, if a little strange, sweet treat.
