This really should be all about Offaly, how thoroughly dominant they were at Glenisk O’Connor Park, how much sharper in their touch and hungrier for the battle they were.
But when Davy Fitzgerald is your manager and his post-match briefing morphs into a lengthy, head-shaking monologue on Antrim’s incorrigible Jekyll and Hyde ways, it’s difficult not to start with the losers. And when we say losers, the 15-point chasm isn’t remotely unfair on the hapless visitors. They rattled off the last four points in garbage time. Offaly scored two goals where, on another day, Johnny Kelly’s tyros might have plundered five.
