How do freelance jobs work?

Whether you're looking to hire a Freelancer to create a custom logo, or an illustrator for your new marketing campaign, you can now find, connect with, and hire the perfect Freelance for your next job.

Filter, sort, and search for exactly what you need on our Hire Page. When you find a creative who is a good fit for your job, send them a Freelance Job inquiry outlining the scope of the work. This will start a thread in the Behance inbox where you can discuss the details of the job over chat or video call.

If the creative is interested in taking on the job, they will send back an official proposal that you can review and approve. Once you complete the required upfront payment, the creative can begin the work.

How do I find the right creative for my freelance job?

On our Hire Page, you can sort by Freelancers, or by Services to view specific offerings that these creators can provide. There are additional sorts in the left column for Category, Price, and more. You can also view a Freelancer's past reviews by clicking on the "Completed Jobs" tag on their profile.

Many clients find that looking at a creator's past work, to get a feel for their style and experience, is the best way to understand if they're a good fit for you. Once you find some freelancers you're interested in, we recommend clicking "hire" to send them an inquiry and connect with them. It's a good idea to reach out to several freelancers at once to get a wide range of quotes.

How are payments handled securely on Behance?
All payments to freelancers are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor, and any information sent to Stripe as part of the payment transaction is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. Behance does not store your debit or credit card information, which is sent directly to Stripe for payment processing.
What is a "Featured Freelancer?"
Featured Freelancers are an exclusive group of hand-picked creative professionals who are among the best in their field. They have been selected for their outstanding portfolio and proven freelance experience. When you hire a Featured Freelancer, you can pay them directly through Behance through our payment partner Stripe. Stripe payments are safe, secure, and global.
What should I include in my hiring inquiry?
When you find a creative who is a good fit for your job, click "Hire" to send them a Freelance Job inquiry outlining the scope of the work. As much detail as you can provide is helpful, including what the job is for, your budget or price range is, when you'll need it by, and any inspiration or style guides you have available.
