I am sure there was a Light Novel first, not manga. Though, I heard only one volume was published or something like that.

We did note this in our article that it was a web story first. But it is the manga that's getting the adaptation. Natalie had specifically reported that it was the manga that was getting the TV anime adaptation, as opposed to the original web story. The video in the article also says that it's the work by Rocket Shokai and Nakashima723 that is getting the anime. It seems safe for now to say it's the manga that's getting the adaptation, despite there being an original web story, similar to Reincarnated as a Slime. The announcement of the anime also stated the web story is getting renovelized with revisions and new illustrations by toi8. I did not include this originally in the article but updated it just now with that info. |
