The Aurora Borealis as seen from aboard LH401 from JFK to FRA. Capturing the northern lights from an aircraft has always been at the top of my bucket list and I'm thankful to have finally checked it off. This was also my first A340-600 flight, making the occasion much more exciting for me. Settings used: F/3.3 at 28mm, IS6400, 2"; camera was remotely fired, manually focused, and balanced on top of my 150-600mm lens, which itself was balanced on the armrest.

CZ has 20 A350's on their fleet with half of them on a 2 class config and the other half adds "premium economy" to the mix with this plane belonging to the later half. MEX used to get the 2 class and I had calculated a possibility of seeing him about twice a year, but fortunately they switched MEX to the 3 class service barely after this bird was repainted and the first opportunity to catch him came in after just over a month in regular service... boy did I cash in!!

Came in to (FBO) after other 3 did Bengals fly over heard captain say this is the only one in fleet with this paint sheme !!!
