RIKEN's outreach activities aim to solve real-world problems and return the results of scientific achievements to society by connecting RIKEN teams with students, research institutions and businesses in Japan and worldwide. To this end, RIKEN is active on many fronts, providing researchers with access to shared-use resources, promoting technology transfer through patents and an efficient venture system, as well as a fostering collaborations and exchanges with a myriad of educational and research institutions.
