- What does $code do, especially in emitCode? I'm particularly curious to know what is getting done in the list processing statements around line 1867 of TWiki::getRenderedVersion.

This is original code we inherited from
JosWiki. It basically generates bullets and definition lists of a specified indentation. The push and pops are there to change the level of indentation. Granted, the function name is not very descriptive and should be changed.
