Financing & warranties for devices in Japan

If you financed the device you want to trade-in, you'll continue to be responsible for those payments after the trade-in.
For the device you want to trade-in, make sure to cancel warranties from other providers.
If you pay for your new device in installments, the trade-in credit will be applied to all remaining installments.
