Change slide size & measurement units in Google Slides
You can select a preferred unit of measurement when you edit objects or slides in your presentation. This includes inches, centimeters, and pixel measurements.
- On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides.
- Click File and then Page setup.
- To pick a size, click the Down arrow Down arrow.
- Standard (4:3)
- Widescreen (16:9)
- Widescreen (16:10)
- Custom: Below "Custom," enter a size and pick a unit of measurement (inches, centimeters, points, or pixels).
- Click OK.
Change the unit of measurement
You can now choose your preferred unit of measurement for rulers and all objects in Google Slides.- To change the unit of measurement:
- At the top, click Tools and then Preferences.
- Check the box next to "Use measurement unit preferences."
- Select your preferred unit of measurement:
- Inches
- Centimeters
- Pixels
- To change the ruler’s unit of measurement:
- At the top, click the ruler.
- Hover over "Change units."
- Select your preferred unit of measurement.
- To reset the unit of measurement to default based on your presentation’s locale, select Reset to presentation default.
