Tool finder for Docs, Sheets, Slides and Vids

In Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Vids, you can use the tool finder at the top of the screen to:

  • Find menu items and tools.
  • View recommended actions. These can include recent actions that you took in the document.
  • Get suggestions for related actions as you type.
  • Activate find and replace after you have entered content from your document.

To find tools, in the toolbar at the top of the screen, select an option:

  • In the toolbar, click Search or in the menu, click Help and then Search the menus.

To use a keyboard shortcut, press the following keys together:

  • PC: The Alt and / keys
  • Mac: The Option and / keys
  • ChromeOS: The Alt and / keys
