Remove a Business Profile from your Google Account
If you no longer want to manage your Business Profile, you can remove its content and managers. After you remove the Business Profile from your Google account, you can’t manage the profile on Search and Maps.

Understand ownership permissions for Business Profile removal
- Only the primary owners can remove the profile content and managers. Learn more about profile owner & manager roles.
- New owners and managers must wait 7 days before they can remove profile content or managers. Learn more about new owner & manager limitations.
Remove a Business Profile from your Google account
Important: When you remove all ownership and content from your Business Profile, it doesn't guarantee that the business won't show up on Maps and Search.
- Go to your Business Profile.
- You must sign in to the Google account associated with your Business Profile.
- Select More and then Business Profile settings.
- Select Remove Business Profile and then Remove profile content and managers.
- If you want to show that your business is closed, turn on Mark your business as permanently closed.
- If you mark your business as closed, it won't disappear from Maps right away. It will slowly disappear from search results and then be completely removed.
- If you want to show that your business is closed, turn on Mark your business as permanently closed.
- Select Continue and then Remove and then Done.
Remove multiple Business Profiles
- Go to the Business Profile Manager.
- You must sign in to the Google account associated with all your Business Profiles.
- In the Business Profile Manager, select the profiles you want to remove.
- If you want to show that your businesses are closed, mark your businesses as permanently closed.
- At the top right, select Actions Down arrow icon and then Remove businesses and then Remove.
If you encounter an error when you remove multiple profiles, you must remove content and managers for each profile.
Understand what happens when you remove your Business Profile
- After removal, your business might still show up on Search and Maps, unless it’s considered ineligible business. Learn more about business eligibility and ownership guidelines.
- Removal of content and managers for a Business Profile is permanent and affects all owners and managers.
- Any posts, photos, videos, and review replies by owners and managers are permanently removed.
- User-generated content and review remains.
- After the content is removed, it can’t be recovered or managed. To manage your business again, you must re-verify your Business Profile.
Transfer Business Profile ownership
You can remove your account from a Business Profile without removing other owners and managers. This won't affect the current content in your profile.
