Connect Bluetooth devices to your Android XR device

To connect devices to your Android XR device wirelessly, you can use Bluetooth. After you pair a Bluetooth device for the first time, your devices connect automatically.

Turn Bluetooth on or off

  1. On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
  2. At the top, select Quick Settings and then Bluetooth .
  3. Turn Bluetooth on or off.

Pair a Bluetooth accessory

  1. On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
  2. At the top, select Quick Settings and then Bluetooth .
  3. Optional: Turn on Bluetooth if it's off.
    • Your device will scan for available Bluetooth accessories.
  4. Set your Bluetooth accessory to pairing mode.
    • Follow the accessory guide to enter pairing mode.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Tip: If you’re asked for a passkey, enter the code shown on your screen.

Connect to a paired device

  1. On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
  2. At the top, select Quick Settings and then Bluetooth .
  3. Turn on Bluetooth.
  4. Under "Paired devices," select a disconnected device.
    • When the accessory and Android XR device connect, the device shows as "Connected."

Rename, disconnect, or manage a Bluetooth device

  1. On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
  2. On the left, select Connections and then Bluetooth .
  3. Turn on Bluetooth.
  4. Under "Paired devices," next to the Bluetooth device’s name, select Settings .
    • To change the accessory's name, select Rename.
    • To disconnect, select Disconnect .
    • To unpair, select Unpair.
