Connect Bluetooth devices to your Android XR device
To connect devices to your Android XR device wirelessly, you can use Bluetooth. After you pair a Bluetooth device for the first time, your devices connect automatically.
Turn Bluetooth on or off
- On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Home screen, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- At the top, select Quick Settings and then Bluetooth .
- Turn Bluetooth on or off.
Pair a Bluetooth accessory
- On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Home screen, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- At the top, select Quick Settings and then Bluetooth .
- Optional: Turn on Bluetooth if it's off.
- Your device will scan for available Bluetooth accessories.
- Set your Bluetooth accessory to pairing mode.
- Follow the accessory guide to enter pairing mode.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: If you’re asked for a passkey, enter the code shown on your screen.
Connect to a paired device
- On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Home screen, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- At the top, select Quick Settings and then Bluetooth .
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Under "Paired devices," select a disconnected device.
- When the accessory and Android XR device connect, the device shows as "Connected."
Rename, disconnect, or manage a Bluetooth device
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Settings app, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- On the left, select Connections and then Bluetooth .
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Under "Paired devices," next to the Bluetooth device’s name, select Settings .
- To change the accessory's name, select Rename.
- To disconnect, select Disconnect .
- To unpair, select Unpair.
