Use Quick Share on your Android XR device
With Quick Share, you can immediately send and receive files from nearby devices.
Manage Quick Share settings
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Settings app, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- On the left, scroll to find "Connected devices."
- Select Quick Share.
Share & get content on your Android XR device
You can share and get content with someone when you use Quick Share.
Share content with someone
- On your Android XR device, select the content, like a photo or video, that you want to share.
- There’s no limit on content size or the number of files when you use Quick Share, but the app you share from may have limits.
- Select Share and then Quick Share .
- Make sure the device you want to share with is nearby.
- Select the device you want to share with.
- Wait for the other device to accept your share request.
Tip: To use Quick Share, make sure to grant Wi-Fi and Bluetooth access when prompted.
Get content from someone
Important: If you share content between your own devices with the same Google Account, the device that receives it automatically accepts the transfer.
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Settings app, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- On the left, scroll to find "Connected devices."
- Select Quick Share and then Who can share with you.
- No one
- Your devices can still share with you.
- Contacts only
- Everyone
- No one
- Select Turn on Bluetooth .
- Make sure your screen is unlocked when you receive content from someone.
- Wait for a pop up that shows you the sender and what content they want to share.
- Select Accept or Decline.
