Analytics Advisor (Beta)

Analytics Advisor is an agentic conversational experience in Google Analytics, powered by the latest Gemini models, that is designed to accelerate data analysis for all Google Analytics users. Analytics Advisor can help you get personalized answers about your Analytics property by providing actionable insights, visualizations, and links to helpful reports. Use it to get more done, faster and make smarter business choices.

Note: View the Analytics Advisor announcement at Google Marketing Live (GML) in May 2025. Since then, we’ve added even more capabilities to Analytics Advisor to help you better manage your Google Analytics property.

How it works

Analytics Advisor is optimized for providing Analytics-related knowledge and support. It’s accessible anywhere across Google Analytics, and can provide real-time insights on your property.

Follow the steps below to access Analytics Advisor:

  1. In your Google Analytics property, if your account is eligible, you can click the Analytics Advisor icon in the top right hand corner of your property. You can also click the Google Analytics Search box and select Ask Analytics Advisor.
  2. This opens the Analytics Advisor window on the right panel.
  3. Type your query into the Analytics Advisor.

Keep in mind

  • For some questions, Analytics Advisor may take a moment to think, plan, and prepare a response.
  • Analytics Advisor processes data solely at the property level, which means the information used to generate responses is from within that specific Google Analytics property only.
  • Analytics Advisor is currently available in properties with English as the selected language, with plans to expand support to other languages.
  • In some scenarios, Analytics Advisor may not generate responses that are accurate or relevant. You can use the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to provide the product team with feedback on each response.
  • Analytics Advisor reflects information that is available in Google Analytics.
  • Your chat activity may be used to improve the product and your use is subject to Google's Terms, AI Use Policy, and Privacy Policy. Learn more about Chat AI Privacy.

Note: Analytics Advisor is improving continuously, so there may be some limitations to its capabilities.

Best practices

  • Analytics Advisor will share relevant suggested questions to help guide your conversation. You can select a suggested question if helpful, or just enter your own query into the chat instead.
  • Communicate with Analytics Advisor as if you're talking to a human. You can ask follow up questions on the subject being discussed, or change to a new subject.
