App ads: Change to policy enforcement for apps
Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.
Starting in the next few months, mobile apps that use ad formats such as app promotion ads or app engagement ads will need to comply with our advertising policies. This means that not only the ads, but also the apps that are promoted or deep linked to will need to be compliant. Content such as the app installation page, splash screens, disclaimers, home screen, and deep linked pages from ads will need to be compliant with our advertising policies. Ads for non-compliant apps will be disapproved and stop running.
