New Requirements for Debt Service Advertisers in Ireland (June 2025)

Effective July 15, 2025, Google is updating its Financial products and services policy to allow the advertisement of debt services in Ireland. Advertisers must complete our comprehensive Financial Services verification program to run these ads.
This means you'll need to be verified before your debt services ads can run in Ireland. You must also ensure that you comply with all applicable local regulations and Google's existing Financial products and services policy.
Google will notify affected advertisers directly through in-account notifications (for example, a message like "Ad performance may be impacted by financial services verification policy.") when it's time to complete the verification process. Alternatively, to initiate the process yourself, see below. Advertisers who are in scope and haven't successfully completed verification won't be allowed to show debt services ads in Ireland.
Our compliance partner, G2RS, currently processes verification applications for other financial services and will begin accepting applications specifically for debt services verification for advertisers who want to show ads in Ireland on July 15, 2025.
