Update to Advertiser identity verification policy (February 2021)

Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

On February 22, 2021, Google will update its advertiser identity verification policy reflecting the addition of eighteen new countries to our verification program. Google will begin asking advertisers registered in Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland to complete advertiser identity verification as part of the phased rollout. The advertiser identity verification policy includes example criteria of advertisers who may be prioritized.
