Why was ad serving disabled?
Your site isn’t serving ads because it's currently in violation of the Program policies. Please review the notifications in your Policy center to learn more about the policy issues found on your site or app.
Where can I find my notification?
To view your policy notification:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Account.
- Click Policy center.
For more details, visit Overview of the Policy center. Additionally, notifications are sent to the email address associated with your AdSense account.
What's in the notification?
The notification you receive will contain crucial details, including whether the action is at the page, site, or account level. For page-level ad serving disablement, we'll pinpoint the violation and the specific page. If ad serving is disabled site-wide, we'll provide the violation and an example page. For account-level ad serving disablement, consult AdSense account may be disabled for policy reasons.
I’ve found the notification, now what should I do?
Read the notification carefully, make changes to resolve the issues, and once you've applied the changes, request a review.
Best practices for requesting a review
- Ensure that you understand the violation: Every policy notification provides a brief explanation of the specific policy that was violated. Review this carefully to understand how it applies to your page or site. If you still need clarification or you're unsure how to resolve the issue, we suggest consulting the relevant section of the Program policies.
- Check your entire site: When ads are disabled on your site, you'll receive a notification with an example URL. You are required to address and fix all violations across your entire site, not just the example provided, before requesting a review. You might find Google’s search operators useful for finding these violations.
- Request a review: Once you've completed the necessary steps for page-level or site-level violations, including specifying actions taken and preventative measures for site-level issues, submit your review request via the Policy center in your AdSense account. You can include sample URLs where you've taken action.
Note: Ensure that the AdSense ad code is present on your site before requesting the review. If there's no ad code, your request may be rejected.
- Please be patient: We typically respond to review requests within a week but sometimes it can take longer.
Will ad serving always be re-enabled after I request a review?
In many cases if you are able to make appropriate changes to bring your page or site into compliance we will be able to re-enable ad serving, but keep in mind that this is not possible for all cases. If you received a policy warning notification or if your site’s ad serving was disabled, note that the URL mentioned in your notification may be just one example; appropriate changes must be made across your entire site before we can consider re-enabling ad serving on your site.

My site has been incorrectly labelled with an issue, what should I do?
If you believe that your site has been incorrectly labelled with an issue, you can request a review. Visit the Policy center in your AdSense account to request a review and provide additional details, such as the reason you think the issue does not exist on the site. Before you request a review, ensure that there's AdSense ad code on your site, otherwise we cannot review for compliance. Learn more about fixing policy issues that affect ad serving.
