Input text with your braille display

Important: You no longer need BrailleBack to connect to a braille display.

If you have a braille display, you can edit a text field with or without routing keys.

Edit a text field

• If your device has routing keys, tap one of the routing keys when it's focused on the text field.
• If your device doesn't have routing keys, press Enter (Dot 8) to activate the text field.
• If you’re using a different keyboard, you’ll need to change your onscreen keyboard to "TalkBack braille keyboard," to type with a braille display.

Tip: You can use routing or arrow keys to move in the text field. Learn more keystrokes you can use in the text field.
