Take actions in third-party services with agents
You can have the agents you set up in Google Workspace Flows do tasks in third-party services using integrations. Integrations let your agents work across Google Workspace apps and other apps like Asana, Mailchimp, and Salesforce. Many integrations also work in Gemini Apps.
Note: Integrations are available only if you’re in the early access program or Gemini Alpha. Their availability might differ between Workspace Flows and Gemini Apps.

Use third-party integration steps in agents
Integration steps are available wherever you create and edit agents, including:
- When you create an agent with AI.
- When you create an agent with a template that already has an integration step.
- In the step selector in the editor. Scroll down to the section with the name of the third-party service.
Important: When you add variables to integration steps, they might contain your Google Account data, such as the contents of a message in Gmail or Chat, or event information from Calendar. The agent can then share your Google Account data with the third-party service. Make sure you trust the third-party service.
To use an integration step:
- Go to https://flows.workspace.google.com and create an agent.
- In the left panel, click the integration step.
- If you haven’t connected it yet, click Connect. Follow the on-screen instructions to let the integration access your Google Account data and finish connecting. You might need to install a helper app from the third-party service. If you have trouble connecting, learn how to troubleshoot integration steps.
- Set up the step.
- (Optional) To try your agent, click Test run. A test run runs your agent once, taking real actions so you can see the outcome. Select the starting conditions, then click Start. Learn more about test runs.
- Click Turn on.
Connect third-party integration steps from the Marketplace
- Go to https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/category/integrations. This link takes you to a pre-filtered view of only integrations. Most work with Workspace Flows.
- When you find one you want to connect to, click it.
- Click Connect.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to let the integration access your Google Account data and finish connecting. You might need to install a helper app from the third-party service. If you have trouble connecting, learn how to troubleshoot integration steps.
When you go to Workspace Flows and add a step from that third-party service, you won't have to connect again.
To disconnect an integration, go back to Workspace Marketplace, find the integration, and click Disconnect. If your admin set up the integration for you, you might not be able to disconnect it.
Manage account access for integration steps
If you’re worried about an integration’s access to your Google Account data, you can delete its connections to your account. However, flows that use integration steps might stop working.
- Go to https://myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Find for the integration in the list of apps and services and click it.
- Click Delete all connections you have with integration name and confirm you want to delete them.
This deletes the connections, but the listing in Google Workspace Marketplace still shows that you’re connected.
To connect to the integration again, add an integration step to an agent and go through the connection process.
Troubleshoot integration steps
You might not be able to connect for a few reasons:
- To use an integration with a paid third-party service, you need a subscription for that service.
- Your Workspace admin might limit who can connect to integrations from the Google Workspace Marketplace, or which integrations are allowed. If you want to use an integration but can’t connect, ask your admin if they can allow it or connect it for you.
- Some integrations, such as Salesforce, need you or your admin to install a helper app. Go to the integration listing in Google Workspace Marketplace. Any requirements are listed in the Overview section.
