Join Microsoft Teams meetings via Pexip with Google Meet hardware
You can join a Microsoft Teams meeting via Pexip from a Google Meet hardware device, which allows participants from both Meet and Microsoft Teams Rooms devices to join the same meeting. The Teams host can record the meeting.
Some Meet features are not supported in a Teams meeting. Meetings can be recorded by the Teams host.
Before you begin
This feature must be enabled by an administrator. For details, see Join Meet meetings from other 3rd-party devices using Pexip.
Schedule a Teams meeting on a Meet hardware device
If a Google Calendar user in your organization owns an event that includes Teams meeting details, they can add the room that is associated with a Google Meet hardware device. The Teams meeting will appear on the room’s agenda.
If the event with Teams meeting details originated outside of your organization or from a client other than Google Calendar:
- Duplicate the event in Google Calendar.
- Add the room with Google Meet hardware to the duplicated event.
- You may want to remove all participants from the duplicated event so they do not get multiple invitations.
