Manage access to Gemini features in Workspace services

As an administrator, you can choose to enable or disable Gemini features and the side panel in the following Workspace services:
- Gmail
- Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drawings, and Vids
- Meet
- Chat
The default setting for Gemini features in Workspace services is on. If you turn off features in a service, users can ask about an item in that service via Gemini in another service. For example, if you turn off Gemini in Drive and Docs, a user can ask Gemini in Gmail about a Sheet they own.
Turn on or off Gemini in a Google service

In the Google Admin console, go to Menu and then Generative AIand thenGemini for Workspace.
You must be signed in as a super administrator for this task.

Click the Feature access panel.

- Click Edit next to the service you want to enable or disable.
- Click On or Off, and then click Save.
What other controls are available?
- You can turn access to the Gemini app (gemini.google.com) on or off. (Note: this has no effect on other AI features in Google Workspace services.)
- You can turn off NotebookLM on or off as an additional service.
- You can turn access to Google Vids on or off.
- You can control whether users let Google AI take notes in meetings.
- You can turn Google Workspace smart features on or off.
- Users can control smart features in Google products.
- You can turn Gemini for App Creation or Gemini in AppSheet Solutions on or off.
