The problem in the new version was the path. I changed to this and now it's working without a problem. $countries = $countries_xml->GetCountriesList->CountriesList->Country ?? [];. Thank you all, for the help.

$countries_data = fetch_json(...) - so what does $countries_data actually contain after this line?
