I wonder why Microsoft decided to have different hot keys than regular visual studio. This is very annoying switching having to switch back and forth.
@RayLoveless VS Code is made by Microsoft so the Windows shortcut is the default. Alt+← is a system shortcut on linux and mac so they had to change it.
searching workbench.action.navigateBack & workbench.action.navigateForward under Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts worked for me, since I had an extension changing the default behaviour
