John Bengough
John Bengough was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1851. After attending Ontario School of Art, he worked as a cartoonist for the Toronto Globe . He later went on to establish his own magazine, The Grip.
Bengough was sympathetic to woman suffrage and contributed cartoons to the Women Journal. Bengough, a strong supporter of prohibition, died in 1923.
