During postinstall, warning: Package: Unknown package; a2ps.sh exit code 2

 a2ps.sh exit code 2
Is there a missing dependency?
This is what happens when I run sh /etc/postinstall/a2ps.sh manually
from mintty:

Looking for the afm files read by a2ps...
a2ps: unknown medium `libpaper'
Extracting font names...
Sorting entries...
sort: open failed: fonts.map.new: No such file or directory
