Does cygwin do "find" a little bit differently?

It works for me:
Bill@billhome/cygdrive/c
$ pwd
/cygdrive/c
Bill@billhome/cygdrive/c
$ find . -name "boot.ini" -print
./boot.ini
Check your path env var or maybe update the find util.
