[feature request] completion of paths with Windows drive letters

No, you're right. Making bash support DOS-style paths is not the full 
solution. Other specific utilities will still have problems, as you pointed 
out. That's the reason POSIX variants of the the drive paths are 
automatically provided by Cygwin.
